| I'm still struggling with the decision to continue blogging or stop all together. It's my opinion that some folks just don't have a right to know what's going on in my world. I mean, when you cut me out of your life, you cut the ties, that's it. I'll take you back into my life once, but I won't be stupid enough to do it again. And so, why would I consider blogging about my daily dribble only to let someone back in my life? And then again, why should I allow someone to keep me from doing what I want? I've always enjoyed blogging, sharing my news, creating online relationships with folks who have common interests, etc. I also enjoy reading old blogs and remember what was going on during that time. So, with that being said, I suppose you can expect me to continue blogging. I guess those who've cut me out of their lives before are going to get a lucky break. Hell, what can I do about it?!? | | |
| I'm having trouble deciding if I want to continue blogging. I don't do it as often as I used to, but that's pretty much because life keeps me so busy. I have a wonderful life. I can't complain one bit. And as excited as I am to share my life here, I just don't feel like EVERYONE has a right to see it. I dunno. Hope you're well! | | |
| I'm an aunt (again)! Gavin Christopher was born on Monday around 5pm and he's just as cute as can be. Both mom and baby are doing well. Dad (my brother) has gone back to work and I assume Makenna (big sister) is adjusting as well. I can't wait to go home on Friday and see the lil bugger!
Congrats, Darren and Leslie-- y'all sure do make pretty babies! (They look like ME!)

| It's been almost 2 months since I've blogged-- yeah, I'm a blogging slacker, really. I think all the time about blogging and then it just never happens. I used to roll my eyes at folks when they'd say "I just don't have time for that." But now, I totally get it. Here's the lowdown on what's happened in the last bit of time.
I graduated in May, got a job and found a place to live (you know all that stuff). Mark and I moved in, I completed my duties at MSU (there's a LONG story there, but we'll just glaze over it) and spent a week on the road with my fantastic man. We went to Nashville for a conference and then drove to Fort Worth to spend some time with my family and friends. We even made it out to Addison (Dallas) one night to see Mark David Manders play. Great show as always, and I managed to find my way up to the stage to sing a few songs with him-- oh boy!
We returned to mighty Mississippi and Mark went back to work. I've was off last week and with the exception of a few work-related meetings next week, I'm off for another week. I've been busy making this house our home and settling into my new role. Somehow we've managed to get it all together and still love each other. Thursday was our 5-month-a-versary and I was surprised with pearl earrings and a matching pearl and diamond necklace. I'm spoiled, really!
I need to finish refinishing the hutch and then touch up some places on the coffee table. This afternoon is focused on laundry and heming some new slacks-- and making the curtains for the living room. Never a dull moment around here, I swear.
Hope you're doing well-- I'll try to pop on more frequently.
| I can finally announce the great news and breathe a sigh of relief--- I have been hired by Itawamba Community College as a lead instructor. I'm not really sure what that means yet, but I know it's decent money and a NINE month contract. ROCK ON!
To continue sharing the great news, Mark and I have found a great place where we can live...TOGETHER! He's supposed to be breaking the news to his family tonight, so let's hope he tells them before this blog finds its way through the gossip mill to their burning ears. We've got a great 3 bedroom/2 bath house with a fenced in yard for my Shi-Thead and his Boscoe to run and play. We begin moving in July 1st and will be totally in by July 15th.
Lots of great stuff going on-- and now that I'm free to share the news, I'll make sure to keep you better informed! WEEEEEEEEE!
